til chitin isn't just a bug thing, and i am disturbed. somehow eating mushrooms is now akin to eating bugs at this moment. 😩

this is my impression as well regarding nicotine. however, i have noticed people are not interested in examining that and continue to conflate nicotine with cigarettes (high risk) and vaping (misconstrued risk).

i also believe many view a nicotine addiction through a sort of moral lens they don't apply so readily to caffeine.

nobody is asking you, personally, to fix it. but your wholehearted embracing of the suffering of others (i mean, at least you will be fine!) to "educate" is a bitter pill for people who are already struggling, and for people who rightly fear they won't survive as readily as you will.
