FWIW, it seems like nuclear is optional. I didn’t bother since I had a large rocket fuel energy plant which was only half done when I finished project assembly.

That said, build it if you want! But if you don’t like it, you don’t need to.

What helped me was two things:

  1. Accepting that things didn’t need to be perfect and that there was actually a decent amount of wiggle room available to make things work.
  2. I took a month break when it felt like the complexity took a major leap up. Games should be fun and I realized I was feeling daunted and like it was a chore. The break let me come back refreshed and feel the joy again.

Also, I leaned pretty heavily on https://www.satisfactorytools.com/ to help me wrap my head around the complicated builds and flows. Donated money to them since it was so helpful.

Of course, that’s just my experience. Hope you make it though! It felt really satisfying to get to the end. I really appreciated their progression system.

The article makes this confusing. It says Coffee Stain will spin off with a few other studios — including Ghost Ship — but also that Embracer will be releasing the new DRG game.

I know that DRG game has been in development for a while. Maybe it’s included because it happened before the spin off?

Looks beautiful! I really like this night shot. Great work.

Congrats! Feels good to get there.

I like this idea! Unfortunately, the group I play with has shown no interest in the game. 🤷

A few months ago, I finished Satisfactory, including all the achievements. I really enjoyed the game, and though it felt really good to finally complete it and see everything I had built, I also was sad I would no longer be in the world.

I’m thinking of doing a new run, but I’m daunted by having to get all the collectibles again. In the first run, it was nice to explore the world and take a break from building things, but I’ve really seen the world now, so that’s less appealing.

Curious if there are others who feel similar. I’m wondering if I should just start a new game with all recipes unlocked and give myself all the spheres and sloops up front.

What have others done for a second run?

This was a charming and beautiful video with an excellent soundtrack. 💕 Who did the music?

I loved so many of the details. The stator building was one of my favorite. I’m just trying to make it through the game (finishing Tier 8 right now) and you’re making art. 👏

I recently spent a bunch of time hunting for drives and you really get to enjoy all the beautiful biomes. Plus grab spheres and sloops along the way.

Got so many drives that I ran out of recipes to unlock! I’m at Tier 8 and haven’t even hit the hard drive achievement. This is great since I now have a lot of options for how to use different areas of the map that were previously gonna be a pain because a resource was far. The alts mean I don’t need some things or can produce a lot more of something that was sparse.

It’s an alt recipe, so you’d need to unlock it with a hard drive roll first.

Oh, boy! You’re in fire a treat. This thing is amazing. Enjoy!

I solved this by putting a valve on the extractor water near the junction to limit it and prevent back flow. I also reduced the extractor to the correct amount, though I don’t think that’s necessary.

IIRC, this is also the solution in the FICSIT Pipeline Manual. It’s always worth another read through!

I just want to say: you aren’t alone! This is my first time through and everything was going mostly good until I finished T7. Now it feels very overwhelming.

What part is overwhelming for you?

My biggest issue is the factory has gotten quite spread out and items are being created and split up and going to different places. So even if I know I’m making enough cable or copper sheets, I don’t know that a given line actually has enough. The organic growth that was happening has hit a wall and I need a new strategy.

Feels like my options are:

  1. Overprovision everything so I guarantee there’s enough everywhere.
  2. Figure out a new plan. :-)

#1 feels like it’s a stop gap and it’s just turning this from a now problem into a later, harder problem.

So, I’ve started roaming the map again grabbing spheres, sloops, and drives. I’ve also made some smelting BPs and tapped a bunch of nodes. Thinking I’ll ship those ingots somewhere and get some new production lines going. Dunno if I want to do mega base or smaller factories. It’s a beautiful world, so that’s been fun.

I’ve also started watching some YouTube vids, but It’s not been as helpful as I hoped. When someone with 6000 hours builds something, there’s a ton of internalized thinking happening that you don’t hear and that’s the stuff I need/want.

So, I’ll just start experimenting soon with all those ingots I’m producing and see what happens.
