The US actually heavily tariffs foreign-made vehicles that could skirt the CAFE requirements the way American trucks do. Light trucks suffer the Chicken Tax and can only be made in Canada, US or Mexico to bypass that. Been that way since the UAW boss asked LJB to do something about the German imports growing.
boonhet
What Ford European line? They discontinued the Mondeo and their minivans. Now it's hatch or crappy SUV. Or Mustang. Oh wait. Focus is end of life too now. It's mustang or crappy crossover SUVs only.
Java 8 to 21 + spring boot 2 to 3 brought the need to change a lot of dependencies, but often they were drop-in replacements. That was mostly Jakarta stuff. On the Spring side, a lot of things we used were deprecated, but that was not related to the Java version.
Did not take a huge amount of time to upgrade anyway. But maybe our systems weren't the most complex in the first place, a lot of our applications were pretty small.
I'll have you know I switched to starter after Trump announced his global trade war because it's locally produced and cheaper anyway.
And then several Republicans in Congress were questioning whether the city should be rebuilt at all
Obviously not, it's a black people city. Let them live in cakes or something
It's okay, it's not like red states ever have any emergencies.
Blender makes most of it off corporate donors, don't they? They procide value to those corporations and they want a say in what gets built next.
Build something for the common man and you don't get 20 Fortune 500 companies sponsoring you. Though some very niche projects do still get very passionate supporters. Bevy engine has been able to hire full time people like Alice who was already working on it nearly full time before she even got hired.
Yeah but you don't contribute tens of thousands every year so if you're one of 3 contributors on a project so big it takes 100 hours of work a week to develop and maintain, that's not enough. The sad part is nearly nobody donates. And those who do, often do it one-off, not monthly. I'm guilty too. Most 100% unmonetized FOSS projects just don't have a stable revenue stream and to make it worse, the users can be real assholes, hounding the devs to work more or put someone else in charge to accept PRs quicker, etc.
I will once they finally build rail baltica lol, otherwise I'd need to fly anyway, or drive which makes luggage more convenient
They will, just not in the US lol
China subsidises industries it wants to dominate in, allowing them to sell for less than cost. It's why the EU also tariffs Chinese cars.
Also for anything the big 3 make in the US, I believe they use union labor? Not sure if they did for Aussie market cars.
