What's the reasoning behind CVTs being the only non-manual transmissions you'd consider?
They lack the nice feel of manuals and the reliability of modern automatics. Have you tried an 8HP or 9G-Tronic? Either one will last you a long time and shift so smooth during relaxed driving that you can't tell it's going through gears.

Where I live, it gets so cold you can't drive away right after starting the engine anyway, you won't see through your windows. You start the engine and heated seats and heated rear window (and front if you have a Ford) and then start clearing the ice off your windows.
In the summer, hot car is hot regardless of seats. Start the car and AC, have a cigarette or finish your chat, then get in the car.

Most of those are still just going to use Visa and Mastercard underneath to process payments by card... Since those are mostly all Visa or Mastercard. There are exceptions but those are regional.
There are a lot of "payment processors" but only 2 major card companies and that's an issue.
Estonia. I've seen 1980s or 90s heaps of junk with heated seats. It's kind of a requirement when it gets to -33C in the winter. It's also very cheap for manufacturers to add, so a lot of them include it as standard equipment in northern countries.
It was more common than AC here until AC became standard equipment in cars.
I'm not American and even I only know Visa and Mastercard. I know there used to be Maestro, but that was also owned by Mastercard. So what else is there that works globally?
