Yeah, makes sense. They're not very popular in Australia anymore (use way more water) so I haven't used a top loader since the 90s. The old ones used to just slow down to a stop once you opened the lid, but they literally didn't have a lock on the lid.
boogetyboo
Good point. During lockdown in Australia, everyone went absolutely nuts buying bikes. While I don't watch free to air tv, even Foxtel shows ads, and there's obviously all the advertising online you're exposed to - and I don't recall seeing any actual advertising for bikes. Weird.
You're probably talking about a top loader whereas the question relates to front loaders.
I miss low rise jeans, but I'd be a tray of muffin tops these days. That being said, when I was in my teens and early 20s they may have fit me perfectly around the front with my flat stomach and narrow hips but my big kaboose (that was not in fashion back then) really struggled to stay in! Avoiding plumber's crack was a daily struggle. They were made for a very specific body type.
Anyone tried horse? Is it good meat? I'm not being facetious - wondering if there's any upside for what sounds like the necessary cull of a whole bunch of animals. Or would they be too parasite ridden etc?
I can only speak for where I am in Canberra which is a progressive and wealthy city. When the food shortages during lockdown happened, the shelving for eggs was empty with the exception of cage eggs. I saw cage eggs and walked away thinking 'oh well, no eggs this time' and saw many other shoppers do the same. Cage eggs are much cheaper than free range, but even with no other option, people chose to go without rather than support the less ethical choice.
Obviously there's a lot to be said about what free range actually means, whether the labels are accurate, and whether people are truly supporting ethical practices, but they are at least in their minds.
If I can choose the more ethical of the two steaks, I'm willing to pay the extra price. I'm conscious I can afford to as well, so that's not necessarily everyone's option. But I'm confident that if this becomes normal and those who can afford to buy it do, the price will eventually come down and it'll be a choice available to others as well.
I think you lost your parent, kiddo
'Feminine' shorts tend to be shorter in length, wider at the hips - whereas men's shorts tend to be straight down from the waist - and, and this is the bad news - have tiny pointless pockets.
Something that happens to women a lot is their phone flipping out of their back pocket when they go to sit down on the toilet. Often into the toilet. Because the pocket is too shallow. It's a thing.
This sounds like a controlling relationship issue rather than an issue with your communication. My partner and I text each other all day. Mostly memes and nonsense, or photos of our dog. We literally both work from home and we still do. That's just our thing. But when he or I go out, it's not uncommon for us to go silent for hours. Because we're doing other stuff, often with other people. I try to enjoy the company I'm with or the activity I'm doing, so I tend to put my phone aside. He's the same. When we're on holiday separately, we'll send general 'what's the plans today?' or 'check out this restaurant I'm at!' messages occasionally, but that's about it.
The main take away here is, we like messaging each other cos that's normal for us. But if the other person is somewhere else, we want them to be enjoying themselves or being polite to whomever they're with. Or we accept they're focused on something else, whether that's house cleaning or playing PlayStation. We're independent adults who don't owe each other anything but trust and respect.
And it sounds like your partner is not showing you either. I can't speak to any communication issues you've had with friends and how related that is to your time blindness. But I don't think that's this. I think he's being a controlling, paranoid prick. I think you need to ask him why he requires that much response. He would be justified to say he likes hearing from you, that it provides connection, but demanding it to the point it causes fights? What a dick.
There is no monitoring. They don't give a shit about what you do with your money from here on out, as long as you're paying your debt to them.
I saw water damage in one of the photos. It's a huge property with odd design choices and dated at that - experience tells me that form over function has been the owners' focus, and maintenance - very low on the list. Especially if it's been vacant for some time. I'd put money on the bones not being as good as they might seem. Would be an absolute money-pit to renovate.
