I travel internationally a lot, many places I've visited routinely take your picture with some kind of a facial recognition computer system as part of the customs process. I guess I just don't have a huge problem with it, it's part of the price I pay for being a guest in another country.

I think 2016 proved that we should actively ignore them and not get complacent based on poll numbers.

They also do this in Japan, Singapore, India, and several European countries, too. It's interesting to me that you singled out China here. Why is that the US has to be more like China, but not more like Japan or India or Germany?

I mean I've been to plenty of countries that use facial recognition software to confirm your identity while going through customs. Is this really so different?

Pretty normal thing for a national tournament.

5th place in the NCAA national championship? Yeah that's still quite an accomplishment. It is impressive.

I agree 100%, placing 5th in the division 1 NCAA championships for your main event is still something I think most people would be willing to admit is very impressive. It's something well above and beyond what most people accomplish. To act like she is a failure as an athlete because of it is honestly kinda sad. Why diminish the accomplishment of another woman like that?

I mean getting 5th place in the division 1 NCAA national championship is actually very impressive. People acting like she was a bad athlete because she got 5th place is crazy.

I'm just pointing out that not everyone thrives in a WFH environment and I think it shouldn't be a controversial take to admit that.
