Why talk about it when you could bee practicing or playing. most discussions feel like people who don't like it enough to practice and so theyeare not good and in turn are 'blind leading blind'

i play mandolin, at an okay. I dabble in many other things.

That is an issue.

i just realized that I didn't finish the thought. Once self driving is statistically safer we will ban human drivers. Some places it will be by law, Some the more subtile insurance costs, some by something else.

We need to figure out liability of course. I have ideas but nobody will listen so noebuint in writting.

We have numbers already from all the human drivers caused death. Once someone makes self driving safer than humans (remember drinkingiisia factor in many human driver caused deaths and so non-drinkers will demand this be accountee for.

That is a low bar. However I have yet to see independant data. I know such exists but the only ones who talk have reason to lie with stastics so I can't trust them.

What jury results do is cost real money - companies often (not always) change in hopes to avoid more.

while not wrong things will not be significant that fast. The average car is 12 years old and so there will be many years of enough still on the road to support existing cars.

Stations will greatly slow down building new gas pumps soon, but existing pumps are a sunk cost - you won't tear them out without good reason as the money they make is still a nice addition to the bottom line for most stations..

Spare parts often are available long after any new car uses that part - there is a lot of money in autoparts and so someone will make then for 15-20 years to get the market, OEMs keep their molds around just to makes spare parts for years. Modern cars the drawings are electronic so they can make new ones (at a cost) even without the molds. A machinist doesn't care if the part is for a car, custom drum kit, or a widget factory - just will you pay them.

Eventually gas cars will be colletcors items with fuel spercial ordered. however that will be many years yet,

The us has enough airplanes that we think we can use bombs to do most of what artillary does for russia. the us does have artillary but not much because it is thought the role is limited.

ukraine doesn't have as many airplanes as the us does and so is useing artillary for things the us would use a bomb. either will do the job for most tasks.

if you are any country other than the us you don't have enough airplanes - but nato can probably count on the us should they need them. The rest need to learn the artillary lesson.

Though you need to evamine every file because '/usr/bin/bash' might really be an illegal video. (I'm a bsd fan so this would be useful to me if only I had something illegal to hide)

[–] bluGill@fedia.io 2 points 4 days ago

The thing about illegal searches is once they find something it is easy to put it back - then you go look for evidence and soon you have enough to get a warrant to search that. few criminals are so good at hiding their tracks that the police can't find enough evidence once they know who to look at.

If you can show the searcher should understand the orginization of your filesystem then you can argue other places are not to be searched.

only way I can see that applying is if the warrent is about sharing files - files in a non-shared location are not part of the search. I doubt this will ever happen in the real world.

In war things get destroyed. unless they are braging about some stealth features they should not care.
