We're also having constant cope sessions with the concept of lemmy too. Maybe peope are seeing our 50 metaposts about other instances and getting annoyed by that too.

Are we getting our own "csn we defederate from" template posts now too?

Are people using the "All" selector or something? 90% of my experience of other sites is posts like this. Or is it more about users of other instances coming here?

Federation doesn't mean you have to interact with other instances (unless someone is harassing you in which case they should be reported). It's more to "allow" interaction with other instances. Federation isn't designed around being closed off from every other instance you are opposed to. Imagine if email worked that way.

But I'm interested to know if people are just using lemmy in different ways.

The first speaker saying he's indigenous for being born in Australia is so cynical. Is that a right-wing talking point in Australia? I've heard a lot of indigenous people are put off by the term "native" because it's been extended to include colonizers. Seems like right-wingers want to do the same for "indigenous".
