I get kind of annoyed at people who make "jokes" about the age of people like Biden and Feinstein too. You're not saying much if everyone from a 10 year old kid to some 50 year old right wing boomer crank can make the exact same point. And no matter who says it, it means absolutely nothing other than being a mush-brained othering of old people. Like we didn't just have a pandemic where everyone murdered hundreds of thousands of old people and pretended nothing happened.

Yeah this just seems like a fake progress narrative. They're probably counting every electric moped in a Global South country as "displacing" some American's SUV despite the fact that people have been using motorcycles forever.
I'm pretty sure electric vehicles haven't even put a dent in fuel consumption. They probably haven't even made up just for new drivers since electric vehicles have started becoming more common.
What do these things actually do? They can't move fast and can't traverse lots of terrain. How much weight do they carry? Maybe in some super walkable area with designated lanes for them it would work?
