A good poop knife will pop those babies out in no time.

The post UI appears to have the create post button at the top also, and have that same potential to lose your text by accidentally catching that bar when swiping to try to scroll down.

I haven't had any problem either, even in enclosed fixtures that the bulbs I have aren't rated for. There are so many different models I don't know if you can totally generalize by brand. And I don't use anything higher than 60 watt equivalent. There is such a thing as too bright.

And isn't there some special paint that is the most light absorbing black possible?

I kind of imagine some Dale Gribble type driving it...

Tumbleweed is great! It's close to bleeding edge with an automated testing system preventing most problems from ever getting to you. And if an update does break your system, if you installed withtheir btrfs default, you can just boot to a pre-update snapshot right from the grub menu, and roll back to it.

This is true. I'm still working on the rules around what constitutes a credenza.

Try toasting it, maybe you'll like it better. Spread some out on a sheet pan and stick it in the oven... Alternately toss it around in a frying pan. Doing so with a little butter might enhance the taste as well.

It seems to me tragedy is matter of audience perspective, a reflection of their sympathies, and of perceiving a narrative. (The audience could be self.)

If you are struck with sudden excruciating pain, with no time to anticipate it, and no brain-space left to reflect on it, does that make it less terrible?

The question of a protozoa is a good one. Does such an organism even have a mental state? (And I suppose that's all the author of the article meant by "consciousness"... some kind of flow of subjective experience.) I can understand doubt at that level, but insects even have brains.

Even if you envision an animal as far simpler than that, pain has got to be the most basic sensation. The most basic motive for an organization is avoidance of a stimulus associated with harm, and that is what pain is designed for. It boggles my mind that a scientist could fail to take from that the assumption that even simple animals experience pain, in favor of some claptrap about consciousness which isn't even well defined. It seems incredibly, idiotically obtuse.
