Because that is what emotionally healthy people do when someone they love dies. They remember that person and are aware of the positive impact they had on their lives, and grieve that the positive impacts that this person had on them and the world do not continue. Grieving is hard, but the pain does fade with time, and the positives of the memory eventually overshadow the negatives.
I was thinking about recommending TCL as a joke. My favorite thing about it is it's "whimsicly typed."

I have a similar problem, but what is worse, most of them I can't really claim to "play", I've just kind of fooled around with them.
They all got bought up by venture capitalists like a decade or more more ago, and this is the result.
They were already backward, but now they are backward, ruthless about cost cutting, and care about nothing but profits.
It's kind of infuriating that with trouble having been taken defining this single use character, people don't bother to render it correctly.
