Why not an open-source crowdfunded model like SponsorBlock? Newsletters with discount codes get sent out every day, and I'd happily contribute to a central source

For those unaware, this is a decent summary: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/21/foxconn-mostly-abandons-10-billion-wisconsin-project-touted-by-trump.html
Looks pretty similar to Before Launcher without folders and filtered notifications
Compared to Chrome their browser is probably better for privacy and also zero-effort, if you can get past the lack of features. I think using it as a private/incognito window is pretty feasible, but yeah, it's hard to recommend as a default browser
Big picture the industry needs middling studios (making A and AA) games to be robust. We'll lose these if massive tech companies continue gobbling up video game studios like off-the-shelf toys without much concern for their longevity.
Activision is huge, so I'm not saying they're middling. The deal just happens to be the poster child of the consolidation spree and potentially the straw breaking the camel's back.
I think all gamers will be affected, just maybe not obviously or explicitly. Your next favorite game might not end up getting made because it's deemed too big of a financial risk or may succumb under the pressure of the politics that come with working at a huge company.
Edit: spelling
Reminder that the KC police department is controlled by the state of Missouri instead of the city. Only major city of its kind: https://missouriindependent.com/2023/01/10/state-control-of-kansas-citys-police-has-roots-in-the-civil-war/
Yeah I feel like them being new is pretty important. They're not existing, well-reviewed games
Since it's not mentioned, I use Before Launcher to help reduce phone usage. It still has some customization, folders, and a notification filter to block out noise.
