I use a dynavap, and have never had any issues with grinding using my cheap pos ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธway back in the day when I took this stuff more seriously I had an ultrafine grinder for my vape, but honestly there isn't much of an actual difference at the end of the day. Maybe it makes extraction a tiny bit more efficient, but called are already so efficient I'm not really bothered by it

Ah, good point - it is 4k,so I guess that might explain it

How is the human face scarier than the alien one lol

I still use the cheap LOTR grinder a buddy gave me almost a decade ago now lol, never really occurred to me to get a better one, it's kind of one of those tools where the cheap shit works just as well as the expensive ones in practice

I mean yeah, who - upon hearing about self driving cars - hasn't thought at least once "I wonder what it would be like to fuck in one of those"

[โ€“] bitsplease@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago (3 children)

that's odd - I've got pretty high specs but my performance is about the same as yours in game on ultra.. Wonder if i need to reinstall my driver's or something

And you would be entirely correct - if insurance companies acted in good faith, the reality however, is that they don't. Your comments are already littered with replies of people giving you examples that they've personally experienced of carefully constructed exclusions meaning that they can't actually claim their policy.

I have no doubt that there are people out there for whom travel insurance has saved their ass, but I know from my own experience in the industry that the far more common experience for policy holders is to wind up with the insurance company finding a reason to not pay up, and now you're left both with the cost of the emergency, as well as the cost of the policy.

Like I said, it's your money, and I'm certainly not going to give a shit if you keep buying travel insurance policies, hell - people buying insurance policies pay my salary (though i don't work in travel insurance any longer)

Yup - this is exactly it. I'm entirely certain that there are people out there who have had their financial lives saved from utter ruin via vacation insurance - but I'm also certain (because I've witnessed it myself) that far far more people who think they should be covered wind up in deep shit because their hospitalization came from an accident, or as the result of a crime, or some other edge case that happens to be excluded by the travel insurance policy (and make no mistake, these exclusions are carefully crafted to cover as many potential cases as humanly possible while still sounds decent on paper).

There are also doctors who think COVID vaccines make you magnetic, so color me not convinced just because that one doctor sent you to a chiropractor lol

The most believable explanation I heard is that it was a last minute touch up on his hair for the speech, not actual hair dye

That being said I'll still never understand why dudes this old insist on dying their hair and pretending it's natural. Just let it go gray, ageing naturally is nothing to be ashamed of

Why should a parent have full control over what nickname their kid uses? Any parent who tries to excersize that level of total control over their kid is gonna wind up disowned when their kid hits 18 lol

If that sounds normal to you, you might have had some seriously overbearing parents, hate to break it to you lol

I don't necessarily agree with the use of the term in this context, but I took it to mean that it's gaslighting in the sense that when you call it out as a dog whistle meaning "you can now be a POS on our platform", people can respond with stuff like "Wow, so you're anti-free speech? Do you hate America? Why do you want to censor people?" And shit like that, which is gaslighting IMO
