A depressingly small majority when considered as a proportion of the voting population

The most optimistic interpretation is that they're getting off the floor so that deals can be struck "behind closed doors" and then hopefully come back with an actual solution.

The most likely reason is that representatives are lazy fucks who only actually work like 50 days out of the year

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed, I was really hoping for the "DeSantis takes lead over trump, but trump refuses to step aside, splitting the R vote" option

Absolute best case is house arrest imo, and I'm sure his lawyers will make sure it includes the entirety of his resort, so basically nothing will change

I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think I will

And when it does inevitably come crashing down, it'll somehow be the democrats fault

I guess that river might have been following a different path then?

Practically guarenteed, few rivers follow the same course for even a hundred years, let alone hundreds of thousanda

Define "the pay was good".

For what they're known payscales say they'd pay a dev with my experience? No way in hell. It's only slightly more than I make now, and I'd have to go back to the office and work for an evil company (though I'm in Insuretech today, so that bit might just be a lateral move..). Plus I live in a low CoL area today, so a bit more money would actually mean a substantial QoL drop.

Now if we're talking stupid money, like $600k/year, then yeah I'd suck up going to the office and abandon my morals. Frankly anyone here who says they wouldn't do it for any salary is kidding themselves

Um, I think you're in the wrong thread - we're talking about beer...

I agree with you though, it's just not relavent lol

Gatekeepers got tired of being (rightly) made fun of, so they made a new meme format that makes them seem justified

People already don't trust the webcams on their own machines to not record them, even when they have hardwired indicator lights, I really doubt that they'll suddenly trust tech that most people have no experience with to be frank.

I don't think it'll be an issue with the Apple Vision Pro specifically though, it's not like the Google Glass in that it's super convenient to wear when you go out on a regular basis. No one but an absolute weirdo is going to sit down at the bar wearing his Apple Vision Pro, it'd be like bringing your Quest 2 lol

I don't see how it won't, people are always going to be sketched out by the notion that the guy across from you could be recording you or taking pictures without your knowledge

Yeah phones can kind of do the same, but it's a lot harder to hide with a phone

Honestly I used to love these ridiculous morning radio shows when I commuted lol - was super sad when my favorite one switched to music only

They're ridiculous and corny, but also fun
