Surely you aren't expecting a calculated probability between 0% and 100%. The most useful thing the scientists can do for us here is to prepare for the worse (while hoping for the best), and that is done by carefully selecting the recommendations they chose to publish (in the article).

I just ordered a whole bunch. Many different flavours, long shelf life, less sugar, and prevents the pain of carrying heavy cans from the grocery store. 👍

At least Ecosia plants trees, and the way those trees produce oxygen and absorb CO2 is a benefit to me.

But no numbers on energy, resource and consumption are posted, and it's easy to see that EVs require less energy, less resource and less consumption, even when accounting for production, and total life cycle.

I've been through this so many times over the last few years that I just wanted to say it once here to liven up the thread. There is no real need to discuss this other than to push back against disinformation by petro-promoters.
