Incidentally, the president’s sudden push for the tourist destination of Alcatraz to once again become a maximum-security prison complex came just hours after a South Florida PBS station aired the 1979 classic film Escape from Alcatraz.
“REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ!” Trump blared on Truth Social just before 6 p.m. local time on Sunday.

While it is still a mystery whether the daring escape attempt was successful, Alcatraz closed less than a year later in 1963.

Man died of ‘blunt force injuries’ at US zoo after suspected kangaroo fight
Officials in South Carolina are investigating the death of a man who was believed to have been killed while fighting a kangaroo. Eric Slate, 52, died of “multiple blunt [force] injuries”, according to Tamara Willard, the chief deputy coroner of Horry county. Local officials said Slate, brother of 5 Star Farm’s owner, Robert Slate, liked to enter the enclosure containing kangaroos and wallabies. 🖋️🤖

Kevin Spacey to be honoured for ‘artistic brilliance’ at Cannes Gala
The fund told the publication that Spacey will be honoured for his “artistic brilliance” and “impact on cinema and the arts” throughout his career.
“We are truly privileged to welcome Kevin Spacey as our Guest of Honour and Honoree at the Better World Fund Gala,” Manuel Collas De La Roche, the president and founder of the Better World Fund said in a statement.
Matt Routledge is directing the film, which is produced by Camelot Films, who also financed the movie along with Tinto.
Kevin Spacey will be awarded the prize for ‘Excellence in Film and Television’ at a forthcoming Cannes Gala ( Copyright 2023 The Associated Press.
Spacey has since faced several more allegations of sexual misconduct over the years, all of which he has either denied or insisted were consensual. 🖊️️🤖
