On iOS you can do similar.

Go to the homepage of your instance, click the "share" button, then "Add to Home Screen"

I'm not really browsing reddit anymore. Just checking in on a few niche communities once in a while. The community on the fediverse is much better than I had anticipated.

How would a planet cast a shadow like this? How does that even begin to make sense? https://i.imgur.com/Sw1NP2i.jpeg

So you can have cross-instance moderators? Cool!

It's on lemmygrad.ml, which is an entire server of marxist-leninists. But you can just subscribe to it on your current account. Search for it in the "communites" tab. Make sure to select "all" to see communities on other servers, not "local".

Ah yes, imgur. That's where I would look for intelligent discourse on geopolitics /s

You have to be logged in while searching for it to actually do anything

I've made a second account on my server that is just a dummy account which subscribes to everything I can find.

Actually thinking of maybe writing a script to check popular instances for new communities daily and having it automatically subscribe.

Didn't McDonald's have a moon mascot long ago?

Oh boy do I want to see Texas and Florida get into a fight. Let me get my popcorn.

A few times I've had to click "pending" to cancel it, then try again. Usually worked second try.

  1. It doesn't. Duplicate usernames aren't a problem if they're on different instances. There can be @joe@lemmy.ml and @joe@lemmy.world

  2. Server rules and community feel.

  3. It was fairly easy to host mine on Oracle, but no idea on Azure.
