NOLA Gold has informed the League that we do not intend to participate in the 2026 season. Discussions are ongoing with the League regarding future opportunities and potential pathways forward.

The San Diego Legion and Rugby Football Club Los Angeles (RFCLA) can confirm they have agreed in principle to strategically form a single, statewide professional rugby franchise: The California Legion.

This new venture will begin play in the 2026 Major League Rugby (MLR) season. The California Legion will play their home matches in multiple venues across San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County.

The ownership of Shipley Do-Nuts, a name intrinsically tied to Houston and the city's various cultural underpinnings, has officially changed hands. Peak Rock Capital announced it has sold the brand to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, a California-based private equity firm.

We stopped by to see our beloved friend and guitar legend Zakk Wylde to talk about his pedalboard. Watch as Zakk showcases how his pedals sound.

“I like to keep it as simple as possible,” Zakk states about his relatively straightforward but highly effective rig. “Basically, it’s the same exact meat-and-potatoes setup I’ve been using ever since I did ‘Miracle Man’ with Ozzy. I enjoy trying out new things ’cause it’s fun, but these pedals definitely work for me, which is why they’ve been on my pedalboard beyond forever. They can take a severe beating and give me all the sonic ingredients I need to make my soup — be it a Black Label soup, an Ozzy soup, a Pantera Celebration soup, or an Experience Hendrix soup.”

I hadn't seen anything about this anywhere. Looks like it's the Bogner Electronics ST-Pro. A pre-wired pick-guard with a set of programmable pickups, selector, and volume/tone/mode knobs. My opinion was the Strat and Les Paul modes sounded closer to their respective originals than did the Tele or hollowbody modes.

Going for a 3-peat we have the Eastern Conference champs the New England Free Jacks for the home team, and making their first appearance in the finals are the Western Conference champs the Houston SaberCats for the away team.
