Whenever I download movies; I do not like to download 4K movies because it's not guaranteed that every device I'll watch on will be 4K compatible. My phone isn't, my iPad isn't and any potential future device.\

However; there is ONE film that I absolutely needed to download in 4K and add it to my Jellyfin server: -- 'Everything, Everywhere All At Once' because it is not a film - it is a life-changing religious experience and a truly beautiful masterpiece. It's like being thrown into the outer depths of space overlooking every single Galaxy at once while you watch Baby Jesus being born.

I click on the .mkv file on my computer and it plays just fine; but, I try to play it on my Jellyfin server on my TV and it's just a green screen. The audio works so I know it's playing, bft the effdntire video is green. I can't see the player head, the controls the movie - nothing. Just green.

Movie on my Mac.

Movie on my Jellyfin server on my TV.

Now, I'm confuzzled about this as my TV supports 4K. I assume Jellyfin supports 4K. The onn. TV Pro 4K (Which is what is hooked up to my TV and that I'm using with it) supports it.

Why is this happening? Please help.

HARDWARE:

Open Box - Samsung 43" 4K UHD HDR LED Tizen Smart TV 2022

onn. TV Pro 4K 2024

SOFTWARE:

Jellyfin 10.10.7

I'm sorry if this isn't the right sub to ask this, but I'm weary of asking questions in other subs and talking about movies I've torrented. I'm gonna instantly see *POST REMOVED*

I used to be in this life heavy, back before piratebay and other, curious how you do this now, would like to have a built up library of media I’d watch regardless of internet access ya know. Just need a bit of help on which programs to use and VPN work best and the work flow for that. Even if there a YouTube video to point me to would be sick. Thanks in advance.

I'm just a little curious. I have a few BluRay Remux movies. For example, they are renamed like this -

The Terminator (1984) 2160p DV BluRay REMUX.

Do you want to add anything more or is that short and sweet?

I was trying to pirate a game from fitgirl but I stopped it like 5% the way through since i then learned that it is dangerous to torrent without a vpn. Is there any risk to what I just did or am I fine?

I want to download this 2gb package that has a show on it but I guess it doesn't have enough seeds because it makes it to like 75% and then says, it's gonna take like a year to download (literally) so can I seat it myself or something. Or is there nothing anyone can do And the torrent's just dead (i'm also brand new to torrenting and stuff so if I got anything wrong, please tell me)

I want to send a large folder +250GB to a friend. If I create a torrent with some public trackers, can I just send him the .torrent file and he can start downloading, or do I have to publish it on a public website first?

Unfortunately my ISP has blocked access to many torrent websites.

What can I do....I'm using Windows 11 Pro?
