Hello,

Could you please recommend a replacement for the Kingston MobileLite Plus UHS-II card reader with a detachable USB-C cable? While Kingston MobileLite Plus is a great card reader, I found it risky using dongles being traveling - since accidentally applied force to a dongle can damage a laptop port. I found a quite good option: ProGrade Dual Slot (PG08), but the ProGrade is too expensive.

Thank you!

I have a Synology DS1019+ with 5x8T drives. I am running out of free space. My compute and storage are separate (except for Plex), and I would like to keep it that way. I don't use any of the Synology apps/features, so a dumb storage would do. Looking at 2 options

  • Replace existing drives with 5x20T. This should last me for a few years.
  • Get UNAS Pro with 3x20T to start with and add additional drives later (as budget permits). More models are coming sometime this year, so I might lose out on those.

Which one is better? I did look at UGreen, but it's more expensive (with power I don't need).

Hey,

I couldn't find a working script to download from tokybook.com that also handled cover art, so I made my own.

It's a basic python script that downloads all chapters and automatically tags each MP3 file with the book title, author, narrator, year, and the cover art you provide. It makes the final files look great.

You can check it out on GitHub: https://github.com/aviiciii/tokybook

The README has simple instructions for getting started. Hope it's useful!

I’m trying to store movies and tv shows, probably at 1080p resolution since I won’t have. What size external hard drive should I get and what brand, I was looking at WD based on reviews. But would Samsung be an ok brand as well? I just don’t know how many movies a 1TB or 2TB hard drive could store. Or should I get something bigger?

I'm trying to download a complete artist discography using spotdl but getting tons of AudioProviderError messages.

What I tried:

Updated both yt-dlp and spotdl to latest versions

Tried different audio providers (youtube-music)

Used different threading options (--threads 1 --headless)

Changed VPN locations (USA, Netherlands, Switzerland)

Attempted album-by-album downloads instead of full artist

Using cookies from youtube and youtube music

Ive tried everything i knew but without sucess, can yall help me out?

AudioProviderError: YT-DLP download error - for every song

does anyone have any experience using httrack to archive wikis? it's been running for 9 days so far, just over 600,000 files written, 65,000 links scanned. does it speed up as it nears the end and pages link to already downloaded pages? it says 65,000/660,000 links scanned. although that last number increments every second. is this all expected when archiving a wiki or do you think i've messed up somewhere
