I started using one of AppBox's lower-tier plans (the 2TB one - https://www.appbox.co/) so as to offload old video projects and personal archives that I don't access very often. Basically cold storage.

But how "safe" would you say this is long-term? If you use a seedbox as your "deep freeze" archive tier for data you rarely touch, how's it going?

I do keep local copies, but I also like to have an off-site backup that's already online. And it's good for seeding or syncing via rclone or Nextcloud.

But I'm also thinking data integrity can kinda be at risk over time, no? Like, how do you know that years from now there's no "bit rot" that's slowly killing files? Are there any tools I can use that can periodically rehash or verify file integrity? I know you can manually run something like md5sum but still want to know more about this.

New to Private Trackers and I'm not getting much upload traffic despite having tens of torrents going across several trackers.

A few trackers have issues where the announcers are showing as "Working" but "Rate Limit Exceeded. Please Wait"

I use VPN - so could it be an issue with the IP being used heavily?

Main Question is - Is this a problem? will it affected my ability to seed?

I wanted to install a few Total War games (Napoleon, Empire and Medieval II) via torrent. When I tried to launch Napoleon, it didn’t work, Medieval II said that there’s an error, and Empire didn’t even download, because uTorrent didn’t accept the file.

I’ve already played Napoleon on my old laptop with Windows 10 installed, using exact same torrent file from exact same site.

Is the problem in my antivirus or version? Is there a software that can help to run these games?

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a good external drive enclosure for two or more drives? I don't have any more hard drive space on my new computer and want to add some external hdds. I want to use them in a RAID configuration, but am flexible in that regard.

My target budget is $150 usd, but I can save for more if required. I either want a cheapish external now that I can upgrade/replace later, or spend a bit more on a NAS that will last longer.

I want to eventually make a NAS setup down the line, but I'm not certain if it is worth it or within my budget to do so now. I've been looking around at some options but I don't really know anything about the quality/reliability of the various brands/models.

Sorry if this gets asked a lot, but I could only find several year old threads on this specific topic.

I'm very new to this so any advice is appreciated.
