In my experience, that happens sometimes when the iMessage protocol can’t connect for one reason or another. If that’s the cause, then future messages should show up blue. If you’re blocked, they will continue to be green.

What is the sim tray made out of on the 15 pro? in c/apple@hardware.watch

If you’re in the US, at least, there is no SIM tray - Apple has gone eSIM-only with the 15 line (at least the Pro models.)
