I left for the same reason. I browse on mobile and I genuinely tried for years to find in the official app where to just type in a subreddit. Like if I just heard about and wanted to go to r/whatever, there was no field to type in ‘whatever’. You could search, there was a dropdown of pre approved subs, or subs that passed a subscriber count, very rarely did it include what I was looking for. On Apollo it would take you to the sub you typed in. If advertisers or shareholders demand an unusable website then great I won’t use it.

Very occasionally, on certain maps people or bots invade. It’s dark souls 1 style. It doesn’t impact that much until you are trying to beat it, then you get invaded once or twice.

I only use mine to go on Tetris 99 binges every couple months and I’ve had a few joycons go bad

I don’t think they let you turn it off on launch, or maybe I couldn’t find the setting. I had the laggiest julliannas ghosting around my map every run.

Single player was great, the invasions were awful.

I’m an atheist but on Inauguration Day I was praying. Then they moved it inside suddenly. All those billionaire butt kissers were there too…

If you’ve got time to wait, put a flag on slick deals dot com for Mac airs and if you see specs you like grab it. I got an m2 24gb 2tb for 1500$US. If it’s a refurb make sure it’s got AppleCare

Nice idea… too bad looking to the past and learning things from it is woke

This fall I will finally have the space to leave my driving sim unfolded, or get a better one… 🤑 what is your sim setup? Do you have VR too?

Swapping to Linux and headless is maybe a bit much to bite off at the same time, though It really feels like in home game streaming will be the future. It would be nice if steam made a native moonlight hosting feature in steamOS and modern steam link clients.

I suppose since it’s just for games windows 11 will work, but I might have to swap out some hardware.

I had thought that only extended it out to 2028, but 2032 is a bit further away. I still need to switch eventually, I may as well start. Would using windows make it any easier to set up the headless part though?

I’m not sure they have Logitech wheel drivers built in yet. Or fanatec or whatever. Don’t the thin clients just act as usb to Ethernet adapters then I just need the drivers on the main pc?
