For people who don't wanna go to reddit:

The Mods Here are Sellouts

Hi mods

Why did you reopen this sub? If you were intent on keeping this sub private you were essentially out of a job already. Why did the threat of losing a volunteer job push you into opening up again?

This subreddit is about fighting for our rights, fighting against management and fighting for the idea of unemployment for all, not just the rich. You joined the fight about the api changes, took a strong stand and when management said that's enough you had a choice. You decided to kiss their feet and say sorry sir.

Of all the subreddits I expected to see bend at the knee, it wasn't this one.

Be ashamed with yourselves

I'm new to this too so don't take me as an authority on the subject but I'm under the impression that Lemmy and Mastodon in particular were more compatible with each other but because they update separately they fell out of sync. I believe that currently mastodon users can interact with Lemmy posts and post to Lemmy communities but not vice versa. If you're interested in both I think kbin users can post to instances on both projects.

Imo, a better way to view the different projects is simply to think about what social platform they're filling a space of. Mastodon is like Twitter/Tumblr, while Lemmy is much more like reddit/forums. Pixelfed is like Instagram, peertube is like YouTube, etc etc etc. To me, since I was willing to have different accounts for all those social media I don't mind having multiple throughout the fediverse (though I believe that as it grows and more people work on it as a whole we'll see more projects interact with each other smoother)

I spent the younger half of my life with very long, thick hair (I keep it short now). There's no avoiding that awkward phase, you just have to stick it out. Keep your scalp stimulated, make sure your hair isn't dry or splitting, and other than that you can try tight braids? Wish this was more helpful ^^; liking your appearance is important - but your appearance is subjective. I know it's easier said than done, but don't worry so much about your hair looking awkward. I've gone bald before and then had to prompt people into noticing so

Not my favorite. I'm aromantic and was just looking for very casual meets. Kept getting ghosted. Have had better luck on reddit-not sure what I'm gonna do now lol

Set your language preference to undecided and English so all posts display correctly. I kept seeing communities with "no posts" till I did this

And that's why I have AdBlock

It's hard to beat Tears of the Kingdom for me. That game is so damn amazing

I did play Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time this year and that game was also mind blowing

Honestly I don't use third party apps and Lemmy is just better. Something about forums (in my experience) makes people actually try to be nice to each other. I've said this a few times but if/when we ever get private chats on here I don't know why I'd even use Twitter that much
