I just re-read the article and it actually says your domain will be owned by squarespace. I hope not.

and your domain will be owned and, after a transition period, managed by Squarespace.

Yes, I use them for my dns even for my google domain. The interface is good and they support dynamic ip addresses, too.
I'm sure like a lot of these giant enterprise providers, us little people don't really cost too much and we have the chance to recommend them at work.

As a temp workaround, add the following css in stylus or stylbot for kbin.social to hide random posts and threads

section.posts.section {
display: none;
}

section.entries.section {
display: none;
}

My google domain is registered through enom, wonder why the wouldn't transfer it there? Also they say google domains launched in 2014, but I've definitely had mine since 2010.

edit: goggle -> google

Yes, there's a cached version on your device. I never opened my server to the internet, just let it sync when on wifi. I used the vaultwarden docker container.

The main offender is Lemmynsfw.com, so instance wide shouldn't be an issue for them. People posting there think it's obvious since it's in the name, but that doesn't work with federation.

This isn't as scary as it seems. If your server were to go down, you can push your passwords back (to a new install or main website) from your client.

Also, if you click on the small domain name next to a post it will take you to that /d domain page, where you can block
