No prints allowed? Like, at all? Else, next time they should wear one with just a watermelon.

Or.. Even better, just go in and have a watermelon slice with you, in a tupper. Open it and have it there on the table :)

It's a tool, it can have good and bad uses. But what's interesting is the "dreams" of those who invested in the first place, their objectives: cheap labor, capitalist expansion. And the means to achieve it: ignore copyright like hypocrites.

Sure, the tool is here. "Confetti left the cannon". Now, what is everyone doing with it? Good and bad uses, of course. But that's beyond the point of the critique.

This falacy is quite common, "science is like a hammer". Only those who never studied the least of social sciences or human history believe such thing (including most exact and natural scientists.. •sigh•)

In germany they even provide safe syringes, I was impressed when I saw those dispensers in public WCs.

Why not use archive.org tools to have a full snapshot? It's fulfill a similar purpose.

Right? Diamond is a crystal of Carbon. Its synthesis was a challenge, required high pressure, but sounde doable from the beggining.

Now, transmuting one element into other (gold)... That's atomic energy right there. A whole new level.

Yeah... since you are asking, try not to do anything. They're people. They like jokes too.

Of course, all advise given in this thread is valuable, but I mean being overcautious may be the "special treatment" that is there routinely reminding them "oh you're different". They don't need that. Just respect.

Yet, they're entitled to their own decisions, triumphs and failures. So, they can shutdown the instance. Now, it would be a different thing if people really want them to be around again, raise some money, grab a backup, buy the domain name, let's gooo!! ..or not. Fine by me. If only 2 users from the instance decided to start a new one this is a huge win :)

The Age of Forks

Maybe won't be all entirely too bad or doom... I would like to see a silver lining, some FLOSS developers are smarter than trolls.

I am still using R-lang dataframes.., Or tibbles :)

Look for free services, there are not many but some. That's what I did at a point when I needed it as a Uni student.

As for jobs, if you are a web dev try creating a portfolio. Doesn't need to be full blown from day 0, or ever. Look for good first issues on github. And reinvent an app in the way you'd like to just for the sake of it..

If not as personal investment, do it for the activity.

Oh, and do some sport. Like 3-6 hour of physical activity per week will keep you grounded.

Simple gestures keep you from falling in downward spiral...

Creating this post is a huge step. Congrats!

PS. Yes, applying for jobs sucks SO much. Check if there's any event or conferences nearby.. networking matters a lot, maybe even more than having an impressive CV/ Portfolio. Good luck! You deserve better :)

Here's a book for a different audience. Explains in layman terms why to be wary about this tech, https://thebullshitmachines.com/

I use FreeTube on desktop (it's on f-droid too!) because you can create subscriptions under local profiles (e.g. some of mine are: music, diy, news, etc.) and it allows to export or import subscriptions so you could sync devices every once in a while. Oh and a whole export holds all your profiles.

May not be perfect but I like switching front pages with these profiles...

tl;dr =

Batteries generate electricity by moving ions between two layers, called a cathode and an anode. A third layer in between, called the electrolyte, is designed to allow ions to pass easily between the anode and the cathode.

The lithium-ion batteries in modern electric vehicles and electronic gadgets typically use a liquid or gel electrolyte that is highly flammable. An important aim of battery research is to replace such electrolytes with solid materials, which would be safer and could reduce the battery’s weight.

Jiwoong Bae at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California and his collaborators designed a solid electrolyte made of interlinked organic molecules. This electrolyte melts at 100 °C, a relatively low temperature for an industrial process. That could make it easy to separate and recycle the valuable cathode material at the end of a battery’s life — although the recycled materials would offer slightly less energy per kilogram of battery. The design also dispenses with the graphite commonly used in anodes, potentially reducing the battery’s weight further.

It has an 'App store' that's been growing a lot lately. Writing new docker-compose.yaml files is easy (see: https://www.runtipi.io/docs/contributing/adding-a-new-app ), and exposing them behind NAT, e.g. from home it's easy too (see: https://www.runtipi.io/docs/guides/expose-apps-with-cloudflare-tunnels )... But my favorite perk is the folder structure (see: https://www.runtipi.io/docs/reference/folder-structure ), and the fact that 'media' is shared between apps.
