Always a good day to pick Castle Crashers back up
I agree, if you're going to get a car it's great for folks to get electric cars. My point is that they are not even remotely the silver bullet people think they are, and allowing that thinking to persist is killing us. We need viable alternatives to driving, and we need them 30 years ago.
Have you seen any of the mixed use suburb development concepts? I think they're really cool, basically a whole block that has a wide range of housing options and amenities all self contained from single family to apartments
Replacing gas powered cars with electric ones because they're "less polluting". Sure, they produce no gaseous emissions, but they make up a lot of that difference with increased tire particulates, road wear, and general pollution from the raw materials required. Don't even get me started on self driving cars.
What we should really be doing is building and enabling as many viable alternatives to driving as possible. Intercity buses and trains, frequent intracity bus service with wide service areas, bike lanes, deconstructing highways going through city centers, etc. Cars have a place in our society, but we've made them the only viable way to get around and it's killing us.
Best variety, make sure to save your largest cloves for planting in the fall!
Technically modern insects are descended from shrimp and lobster, so this is bugs good vs dry bugs bad
Hey, some of us are competent.
That's what clothes are for! I live in northern Indiana and ride through most of the winter unless the road conditions feel unsafe. The trick is wearing a second inner layer (easy if you go to work in a collared shirt or fleece) as well as a leather jacket, gloves, and bar mitts (keeps the wind and the snow off your hands). In the spring and fall I keep a light jacket and gloves in my bag just in case it's unusually cold that day for whatever reason.
That said, some biking to work is better than none!
Oh definitely, if transit is available take that any day. This is aimed more at folks who drive to work
If it's sharp or pointy at all you have to check it in the US. I almost got my nice multibit screwdriver confiscated because it was almost too long.
