I see Facebook is getting back to its origins. Lazy security is like their specialty.

At least it would be harder for boomers and Karens to call the cops on people. Like they struggle to find good operators and now they're replacing it with even more garbage. It's going to be chaos. At least everybody will eventually learn what the cops are all about and who they serve. As things get worse, it builds the potential for things to get better. Because we will shed all these preconceived notions and propaganda that we've been plagued with all of our lives. We were always on our own. Everything's owned by corporations.

My enemy's enemy is my friend. That's why I have a fair phone. I also have contingencies.

If it wasn't for Linux, these old computers would be useless. We need to remind them of that and not buy them for high prices. Beat them fucking prices down into a pulp. Your prices are too high you need to cut it. And not with baking soda but Common Sense. Don't be a thot... Get these prices to drop

Have you looked at the price of these old dusty ass laptops online? Like, they want a fortune for them. I'm just gonna wait until they're buried in Old Tech and then they eventually start selling them for cheap because I ain't buying that. Orange pis are way too expensive and raspberry pis are just irresponsible. Peaks and valleys, peaks and valleys. All this capitalist innovation, but yet we can't afford it. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing.

Oh my god, you are so lucky. I was in the same position as you and the fact that they don't have any tech literacy means that the transition will be easier, but yet it won't be because they have no tech literacy. Just keep telling them. "Remember, you didn't know how it worked on windows or Mac. So maybe it's you the user that are having difficulties. But yet I am patient and I am here to help.".... Switching cost is propaganda. These tech companies offer nothing but slop and ignorant users. Just remember to be patient. Take things one step at a time. I would also try to figure out a way to get remote access to his computer and do a FaceTime thing on your phone. And only do this like on the weekends when you have the time to speak to him slowly. The Elderly will just get frustrated and give up on it. Which I can relate. Shit, if I knew where he lived and I was close enough, I would just, you know, compensate me, but I would do it. I think one of the biggest issues is understanding how they use their computer and the services and the pathways they go about doing their business. Like, if they choose to close down the browser, instead of just opening a new tab i mean, lose the battle win the war. If it works, it works. Fuck it. One day, they'll listen and then you'll be surprised. But if you charge at them like a bull, it isn't gonna help. Frustration, cognitive decline, leads to aggression. It's gonna happen to all of us, hopefully we build a better world. wuraca52.kahetu63@murena.io
