My understanding is many everyday Chinese people bought real estate that wasn't yet built because demand was so high. Supposedly many of them sunk their whole life savings into units that developers had promised to build at some future point. That point seems unlikely to come if those developers go bankrupt, meaning that some decently large number of everyday people are going to lose their life savings.

I don't think the other commentter was disagreeeing with you or trying to compare. They said that they chose to have children for the same reasons you chose not to. (I am also a parent who chose kids for the fulfillment/happiness and not as some weird effort to build political power or something.)

You choosing not to have kids is perfectly normal and fine in my book. It is fucking strange to pressure other people into having children.

I think both the previous commenter and I are trying to back you up more than trying to argue you made a wrong choice.

Conservatives: THESE CORPORATIONS AND THE PEOPLE THAT RUN THEM ARE THE REAL PROBLEM.

Please stop obsessing over people's genitals and get with the rest of us on trying to fix this broken system we've got.

If this is what they actually were, I would be for them.

This is almost never what they actually are.

I am 100% positive there are some shrinking.number of good HOAs out there.

Can we ban HOAs? You never see a good story about them posted. At best it seems like they lead to boring cookie cutter neighborhoods.

Their food sucks. 🤷‍♂️

I agree.

No artist gives themselves to the public, they give their art. The public doesn't have a right to everything an artist has ever done, especially if those pieces were not completed to the standard the artist wanted.

As someone who writes music as a hobby, anything incomplete after I am dead should be destroyed.

I will not listen to stuff put out posthumously.

Yo, just want to say: good on you and good advice. I think you nail the problem with the constant thoughts thing, and that also explains why so many people will talk about how they met someone after they "stopped looking".

He does not.

As wild as this timeline is, let's remember it could be worse. Vote. Care for your friends and family. Keep trying to make the world a little better.
