As a citizen of a founding member nation of NATO: you should seriously consider arming yourself with nukes. We cannot be trusted to protect you.

You're not. This is the way. Work local. We got off track and forgot this and spent way too much time worried about national and internation politics that are a function of systems, not individuals. You gotta build your systems locally through individuals.

LFG

All I know is that most people just want to live their lives without hurting anyone else.

I wish it were "all people."

"Oooommmmmm .... Ooooommmmm"

<2 minutes guttural screaming>

"eh, I'll try again next time"

As someone who voted for her, if you could stop blaming others for having strong feelings regarding who they give their vote, that'd be very chill. At this point I am pretty comfortable telling you that you're causing more division and strife than you are helping. And, as far as I last understood, you're out of here, right? If you could do me a favor and stop demotivating those of us trying to stick it out and fix it, I'd take it as a kindness.

It's not like this. This is conspiratorial thinking.

These people are just .. weirdos. This is how weirdos are friends: transactionally, with little common ground. Trump feels like he has something to offer a friend that friend, even though he's richer, can't.

It's all fucking base and stupid and nowhere near the ideals we are supposed to aspire to as a nation.

I mean - I probably got to live the very best of the 90s Americana as a suburban kid with an old computer and a modem in it.

I still saw a lot of shit going on in the world. I mean ... AIDS pandemic, anyone? Remember fear around shaking someone's hand?

Sometimes I think the problem is that at any GIVEN time, like 2/3 of people aren't paying attention to what is happening outside their own immediate experience.

Not to mention all the shit that wasn't being captured on any kind of recording at the time.

The rose tint feels so fuckin good tho, right?

This persists as long as we decide this is news worth sharing and discussing. There is a recent meme floating around about how part of media literacy needs to be ignoring bait like this. This article getting no clicks would be the very best outcome.
