If the state acts in bad faith, why should the citizenry respond with good faith?

"The ship... out of danger?"

My tears flow EVERY FUCKING TIME.

The number of people ITT that want to find some reason they can't have an impact by quoting obscure legal theorizing is pretty wild to me.

I am actually not dancing around any case. I believe people should be aware of this in EVERY CASE as long as the rule of law is being unequally applied to us.

Nope.

You should be applying this to all juries you serve on. Accept those summonses. Get on those juries and use your brains.

I like to support workers.

Too bad these workers spent so much time beating and isolating their fellow citizens, makes.me not care about them.

Stop sending people to prison for bullshit and all of this stuff becomes easier. 🤷‍♂️

Run for office.

Oh and by the way, make sure everyone is aware of jury nullification: until the wealthy follow the rule of law, you should feel free to vote not guilty even if you think they're guilty.

I know I will be thinking about that the next time I'm on a jury.

It was like 1-D chess, not 27: "if he has a mistrial, the next jury will convict him."

That's it, that was her thinking.

She fucked up real bad. 🤷‍♂️ Good on her for trying to correct it, but the right thing to do was vote not guilty because you didn't think he was proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Lack of political will.

And we have to be downvoted by these people who are advocating for these politicians that continue to fail to lead.

And for anyone who wonders: I fucking voted for the lesser evil. Fuck off with your holier-than-thou bullshit attitude that does nothing to attract exactly the voters we want: people with conscience.
