Man a couple states come to mind, which one do you think would have the best?

[–] andruid@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Which state is that?

Salt fish, and corn meal seem super versatile options!

Callaloo seems really interesting, but it is new to me, what plant(s) would you say would be the most best from the Virgin Islands for it? (If that question even makes sense, my ddg searches tell different places have different sources).

I wish content creators learned at least one lesson from big tech. If it isn't what butters your bread steal from push that work to community where you can, leverage opensource so you customize where you need to quickly. The fact that Nebula, Floatplane, CuriousityStream, Dropout, etc are all eating engineering cost to attempt to complete against Google, Disney, Netflix, Fox, Etc is wild to me.

Ehh maybe I'm the moron and the special special sauce isn't the content but the slightly different video format and selection screen they are paying some third party to work for them (or building in house).

The white paper linked's title is very pragmatic sounding "Raising the Cost of Malicious AI-Powered Image Edit". Would like to read it deeper later to see what the actual mechanisms deployed are. I know ive considered some form of attestation embedding both in the data and form linked with cryptographic signature. You know for emportant things like politics, diplomacy and celeberty endorsement. /s

Tbh I could see this of being an issue in a red state in the US if our law makers were more technically litterate.

The nationalist authoritarian does seem to have power in China for sure, but doesn't seem to the primary power there.

Some of the cooler stuff is seen in the steam deck with stuff like global fsr (as compared to game built-in support) and gamescope to let you mess with resolutions for games that might not normally support those resolution changes.

Or games with massive kernel level spyware! It's wild where some of the gaming space is at right now.

Lutris is the best when the community is there for sure. Blizzard games are the same way, it'll work awesome forever and then update that breaks the lutris script comes out and ruins it until some awesome community member comes out with the patch.

Sms, signal, email, teams, discord, matrix, matters most, and sometimes Facebook messenger. Its always news to me that people outside of the US use WhatsApp.

A tax based on the environmental and municipal cost of disposalble electronics applied to products based on total waste and life span would be nice. A little afraid of regulatory capture that companies like apple could afford on a bill like though.
