It's the business model of build or buy trust and then exploit it until you're loaded and your former customers all hate you. But you're loaded.

And yeah, there's something wrong with this world.

Good to know. I'll set that up once I can actually log in. I haven't messed with my account in years but I definitely would have used something else if it'd been available when I set up.

Oh I definitely use that everywhere I can. I have a few yubikey and use AndOTP everywhere I can. But a few places refuse to do anything but sms.

Which is prostitution and the Republicans definitely don't like that (officially anyway) right?

I'm sure a bipartisan agreement against this is coming right up.

I might just need to rewatch it because it's been 15 years, but I didn't care much for Citizen Kane.

Go to https://lemmyverse.net/, fill in your instance, and click the links to communities that sound interesting. It'll open them in your instance and get them federated so your server starts getting those updates.

I choose you, Confirmation Bias!

Confirmation Bias used "ignore title before the comma." It's super effective!

Right there with you though 😅

I've done both and it's possible my virtual therapy sessions were an outlier but I'd strongly recommend at least starting with in-person. I just didn't find virtual anywhere near as effective as face to face with another person.

The bot has already existed in a different form for years. Instead of you talking to it they asked it which ads are most effective to show you specifically.

Google is not just getting into ML. They've been at the bleeding edge for decades.

A disease doesn't know or care that it's a disease. If the host is being harmed it's going to naturally fight back. Sorry, E. Coli, you're just not welcome whether or not you've grown accustomed to the host.

If you're wanting to future proof, run conduit not just wires. For now a setup like that is overkill and probably straight up won't work well, since roaming is a client decision and the clients make really silly choices sometimes.
