Du kannst bei der FritzBox einstellen, dass die Internetverbindung über USB kommt und dann ein Handy mit SIM einstöpseln. Sollte zum Testen zumindest ausreichen.

Bear bells are a bit annoying and clapping or just talking to each other also works. Humans are not considered bait for bears and they will usually try to avoid you.
There are good books about avoiding bear attacks when in the backcountry.

Hängt denke ich von vielen Faktoren wie Netzabdeckung und Standort des Routers ab. Und klar, mit Glasfaser zu konkurrieren ist nicht leicht, aber eine 50er DSL Leitung zu ersetzen ist vermutlich schon möglich.
Ich hab's noch nie am Router probiert, aber am Laptop über USB Tethering kann ich ganz gut arbeiten.
