Taps forehead* No one can be living "on the streets" if we tear up all of the streets.

No only are they removing their own benches but when community members have tried to install new benches the city removes them.

And be stronger as a result.

We're training in the hyperbolic time chamber.

Vs? Nah, anarchism + communalism. They are very compatible. You can have local organizations structured on anarchist principles that facilitate the flow of resources in commonalist ways. Tool Libraries, Housing Cooperatives, Community Cafeterias, worker collectives, etc.

Raped

I really doubt he has the coordination and blood pressure to do it at present.

How am I supposed to train my neural network (my own brain) to be a filmmaker if I have to pay for each piece of media I train on (watch)?

I agree that we can support everyone on earth if we change our social, economic, and political systems.

I also think it is good that voluntary population decline is already happening and seems likely to continue in many industrialized nations.

I was worried that this could make bitcoin seem useful but other people in here are explaining why bitcoin would still be an awful solution for this.

So... are we going back to cash and checks? Will people need to mail envelopes of cash to furry vore artists?

This was surprising to me. I definitely thought that the "embodied emissions" were a good reason to keep using my ICE vehicle. But it looks like this is specific to Germany's grid which is doing much better at making emission free electricity than my local power grid in Missouri. So switching to electric may still not be appropriate when I could probably keep my small ICE car going for another 5 years.

I wish they had a calculator with models of ICE cars, models of EVs, and locations that could help you determine when the best switch over point is.

That's totally fair. It isn't cheap but the price is amazing compared to the Shaper Origin which is $2,900.

I also like the maslow which is more accurate over long distances so it would be better for furniture.

Compass is an opensource handheld CNC router that you can build from a kit for less than a third the price of industry equivalent, the shaper origin. While this may not be directly solar punk I think the fact that is opensource makes it related. Also, it can enable people to build structures and furniture more easily with plans shared online. I envision making beautiful benches for bus stops and community gardens around my city.

I joined the Kansas City Food Not Bombs eight years ago and it has been life changing. They do great work, of course, but it has also connected me to so much other activism in the area and helped me build a community. I was so hopeless and atomized before joining FNB and learning about mutual aid.
