I would also assume that if someone who looks like a James introduces themselves as Samantha, it's absolutely fine to ask for the correct pronouns, or ask them to confirm it's female pronouns. Samantha would probably actually appreciate it.

Die Formulierung "Der nationale Ethikrat empfiehlt die Anhebung der Frist von der aktuell 12. auf die 18. Schwangerschaftswoche. Die Presse ist geteilter Meinung." suggeriert halt irgendwo, dass die Meinung der Presse genauso oder sogar wichtiger sei als die des Ethikrates.
