Reddit unironically gives me 1984 as it’s about to get worse from here on out.

I clicked that link and thank God the server didn't respond. I was actually thinking that someone made the link to newcomers on July 1st not the stuff of nightmares that still haunts me to this day

You could try to untick the show read posts on your profile. That helped my viewing experience even I am on either hot or active.

I think that's cause r/kbinmigration got banned and they got moved to r/lemmymigration, the support is more so supporting both while sympathizing how kbin's subreddit got banned which i think could be why there isn't that many posts of supporting lemmy

Agreed, there are so many mismatched incentives in Pakistan's economy and there is also a significant amount of distortions in the market in such that the rich don't suffer from what daily wagers suffer. For example there so many exemptions in the GST tax where it's really regressive tax policy now where the rich the are exempted from so many taxes even reporting their earnings as well.

Personally think it would be more reasonable to have rust at this instance. https://programming.dev/c/rust

I hope the devs might make a pin at a directory of communities they can join like a unified directory of all instances and in those instances, the communities they have. I think that way rather than seeing the most popular instances, users would join those communities from their instance however the popularity of such an instance and community can sometimes act identifier for making decisions which instance they would join in also which community. So idk like maybe having a directory by interest might help others to encourage to join those communities from their home instance rather than registering as new user at every instance.

AI is something that can benefit so many people, its just unfortunate that people who're in power no matter where we are in the socio-economic-political (whatever) spectrum will find ways to it benefits themselves more than having it benefit everyone. I hope it changes in the future and have more guardrails to minimize abuse.

Honestly its for the best, redditors would be rude af and incel-like as well. It was annoying to dealing with those people every time there was a talk of relationships and gender rather than thinking also approaching about those topics with empathy, respect, kindness and critically as well. I'd like to think of this as a new start where all of us can learn from the mistakes that were made in Reddit and make this a better place for everyone.

I could see why you'd say that. The comparison I was trying to make was more so towards how easy it is to take advantage of the Fediverse in Lemmy than in Mastodon. At Mastodon, I wanted to interact with other servers and their timelines, it seemed to me it was a convoluted mess rather than seeing what I want to see.
