Btw, you can keep circle to search on and use GoodLock to remove the nav bar. You just press and hold in the middle where the nav bar would be to activate circle to search

I would generally agree with you, but in this case, Verizon has already been subject to such a rule for over a decade as a condition of the 700MHz spectrum. Verizon does offer subsidized/financed devices like the other carriers, it just doesn't SIM lock them beyond the initial period.

Given this data point, I think it's a good idea to expand to the other carriers.

Just want to note that this effectively doesn't apply to Verizon because they already have such a rule, which was imposed over a decade ago as a condition of the 700MHz spectrum.

This means we already know such a rule works for carriers and we can apply it to the others.

Wow, awesome work!

I have a Galaxy S24 with the gesture bar hidden. It lets me do circle to search by holding down where the gesture bar would be.

I would love to put Linux on the computer side for daily use and then use the Android side for high resolution video streaming (Netflix, etc). Looks like a very unique device that will be great for those who can appreciate what it has to offer. Very cool!

I am a huge cabbage fan as well. To the vinegar I would also add oil, salt, and pepper. Other nice touches include some shredded carrots or a bit of raw onion.

I just ate some of this on a veggie burger. It was like 50% cabbage, 50% everything else

At least on Chrome OS, update engine does have a recall feature. The server can say, "if you've downloaded and installed an update and you're waiting to boot into it, cancel it and stick with what you have"

Yup. It could also be hardware failure in the sense of a flakey power button. Either way, it's probably not people intentionally pushing the power button a lot

Looks wonderful!

While not great as a general file manager, I use this app to launch into the hidden, built in file manager in Android. The major benefit is that it can access apps' data directories. Every other file manager is blocked from that (at least without root).

I must admit you make some good points

I was wondering with all the talk of NACS, what would happen to J1772. I think I found the answer, unless folks here see it differently. Thanks!

Hey folks, I've been trying out AT&T Postpaid. Prior to joining, it was a real paid to estimate what the taxes and fees would be. Well, now that I have that information from my bill, I'm sharing it out.

This sheet shows the monthly charges (2 lines on Starter + 1 on Extra, all with 25% discount from having AT&T Fiber). It also shows the fees breakdown and does a line by line comparison with what AT&T public docs say the fees could be.

Happy to answer any questions.

I used unsweetened tamarind concentrate with a bit of water a the sauce, so the cauliflower was a bit tart, but overall very good!

Tl;Dr: starting on October, autopay discount will change from $10/line/mo to $5/line/mo. Affected plans are listed at the bottom, but seems like many/most postpaid are there. You can keep the $10 autopay discount by using debit or linked bank account.

Just saw this! I'm curious if it's an Android app or using the Linux subsystem.

Previously I've lubricated plenty of door hinges by popping out the pin, putting a bit of petroleum jelly, and hammering out back in. This door goes to our garage, tho, and it seems to have different looking hinges.

I'm curious what's the best course of action. Is there a pin that can be easily removed like most interior doors, or do I need to do something different?

Thanks in advance to this new community!

I've used this as inspiration, tho never fully constructed the exact salad dressing as described. I definitely love some peanut dressing with lettuce, tho!

This is a pretty simple but solid bean salad. I try to cut everything to roughly the same size. BTW, if you want a smaller portion and you want to use canned beans, you can usually find a three bean mix in one can.

Hey folks, my wife and I use Pixel phones, but we're starting to think about a phone for our kid, really just to be able to call 911, probably wouldn't even get data. We're looking for cheap and boring, the fewer features, the better. Also open to smart watches, tho we have no experience with them.

Are there any devices that fit the bill? I'm thinking something like an old Nokia brick from 20 years ago, but of course with VoLTE/VoNR.

Thanks for any help this community can provide!
