Domestic tasks like cooking, washing dishes, folding laundry. It's something real I can do to make me and my partner's lives keep going smooth, plus they're great opportunities for either podcasts or mindfulness.

I assume both services harvest and sell data. As a Usonian, a foreign service is less likely to be able to act on the data they harvest about me. I guarantee meta sells the social graph gleaned from e2ee communications to a data broker who then sells it to the CIA etc al.

This applies to meat as well. Imo there's a big flavor improvement to a stew made with seared meat vs one where the meat was added raw to the stew.
Roast brussel sprouts:
- quarter brussel sprouts until you have enough to cover the bottom of a cast iron or carbon steel oven safe pan without crowding; a glass casserole dish will also work
- toss in cooking oil of choice, salt, pepper, herbs of choice, e.g. herbs de provence
- 420F for 30 minutes, stirring at 10 and 20 minutes, optionally sprinkling with shredded parmesan at 20 minutes
End result should be crisped on edges. Probably the side dish I've made more than than any other.
I have friends who work in Fintech, at least one of whom considers themselves socialist. It's been hard for me to reserve judgement of them considering a choice to work in a sector which I view to be on par with CIA etc in terms of producing bad social outcomes, with the presumption that they also understand the role of finance in capitalism.
Comrade, I come only with curiosity, no judgement, and honestly, I ask the following question only to better understand some people I know IRL; Would you be willing to describe your ideological relationship to your industry and your job? How do you reconcile the contradiction of directly developing the economic base of capitalism while presumably being a communist?
