I always felt like you could have a monster-of-the-month kind of table revolving around some of the more nightmarish Objects; some kind of high fantasy iteration of the Foundation or the Bureau that's trying to secure these objects to keep them from falling into the hands of civilians and all that

A lot of why I liked it is you also didn't need super-deep knowledge of esoteric terminology, like while I appreciate the hard roleplay of the Foundation, there's a point where the redactions get to be a bit much, and you start feeling like "you made that word up." There's something that feels a whole lot forbidden about the Holders by nature of it always feels like you're reading the journals of the deranged regarding these Objects.

As much as I like the SCP Foundation, I really wish that it was The Holders that took off instead.

In any city, in any country, there's a mental institution or halfway house you can try any of these in. There were 2538 of these Objects, but 2000 were lost.

The remaining 538 must never come together. Ever.

Ironically, because the old site was lost to history/the wayback machine; and the only wikias I've found that bind these stories only have up to #538, if that, now there really are 2000 missing Objects.

I will never forget how hard they went after Uhuru House claiming that they were Russian disinfo agents just for being Black socialists who opposed the war effort. But y'know, racism is over, it doesn't exist, all we have to do is assimilate into Amerika's war criminality, and become the 10% that know the score but still mislead their kin.

And they wonder why I operate from a constant stance of 'death to Amerika'.

I used to do that; but it gets REALLY old shuffling server-after-server-after-server-after-server to find one server where T-side isn't full up; then you get into the match to hear some hard-r'ing kyle hotmic for 20 minutes.

Payday 2. Do all of the heists that don't have a "break stealth and instafail" stipulation as loud as possible, with either Razormind or I Will Give You My All 2017 as the heist BGM, and mulch as many pigs as you can. Yeah, they're cops rather than full-on military; but they DO pull up with enough special units to make one question if the police and the military in PD2 are just fused together.

The West's stock in trade that aren't weapons or genocide-related are more projections than an IMAX theater.

I wasn't expecting the FCC to actually get mouthy after years of being used to that fuckwit Ajit Pai. Do we expect them to actually have teeth now, though?

I've got this special interest with regard to the amazingly-wide gulf between the perception of how effective the Amerikan military is, and how incompetent they actually are. tl;dr, practically all of our wargame simulations are heavily scripted-- when they don't script how OPFOR "is supposed to act"(direct quote from one of the overseers of MC'02), OPFORs rungs lower on the tech ladder absolutely TPK our shit with low-tech methods. Millennium Challenge '02 is a prime example of the kind of fuckery the Joint Chiefs get up to fudging how effective our troops are.

They waved their wands of dryness and directly caused the droughts.

Oh, I always thought it was forbidden Colonizer magic that did it, I didn't know it was just wands of dryness :o

Isn't it funny how yankees will accuse anyone they've got an existential enmity with of "causing" a "genocidal" drought like these OPFOR are like-- mystical 9th level shamans that can just point at the land and say "wither"? While we're on the subject, if the droughts of Mao's time were a genocide, then shouldn't you really ought to consider the Dust Bowl one too?
