Not a distro but macOS does ship zsh but default nowdays.

Very convenient. But ~every shell script is written in bash or POSIX(y) sh. When I need to write shell scripts I begin with busybox sh compability. If it turns out to be too complex, I'll convert to bash. This is because if I ever would publish the script it would have better changes to be accepted as a PR for example. Yes. Bash is a mess. I don't even like it that much. It's okay. But it's more standard then zsh. Although I've seen the tides turn on some occasions, like macOS.

Maybe some day I'll give zsh a second chance.

Jokaisen nimi tuntuu olevan ei suomalaissukuinen. Lähi-itä tulee vahvasti mieleen, mutta en ole tässä asiantuntija. En tunne näiden jatterien taustoja sen kummemmin, mutta jotainhan on mennyt pieleen kun yhteiskunnassamme ei olla saatu näitä kavereita "jengiytymästä". Missä meni pieleen? Jäikö toi koko porukka työttömäksi ja sitten iski joku survival moodi päälle ja alkoi rötöstely? Vai oliko tää johtaja joku niin auktoriteettinen kaveri alkujaankin, että sai houkuteltua muut mukaan, vaikkeivat vältämättä sitä tahtoneet? Onko koko porukka maahanmuuttajia? Vai ovatko syntyneet suomessa?

Miten tälläsiä jengejä pääsee muodostumaan? Jotenki tuntuu, että meiltä puuttuu tähän se ennaltaehkäseva valistus, ettei näitä jengejä muodostuis. Ja näitä jengejä tuntuu olevan nyt enemmän kuin aiemmin. Koostumus (etninen tausta, paikkakunta) vaihtelee radikaalisti. Toisessa ääripäässä skinijengit.

Ehkä ihan hyvä juttu että tuli muutettua metsän keskelle. See no evil. 🙈

Imo, both methods should set the same value for x. That's madness. 🤪 Just look at awk for example. There's a dedicated substr() and it doesn't care about spaces. But then awk is quite loose in everything... and niche... But I love it.
