If you're playing free, then it's important not to pull on every banner, your jade income will slow down as you play. At the moment your best option would be to save as many tickets to pull for Fu Xuan, as she is a tank. The featured four stars are great too. Pela is a very important debuffer, and Lynx will be the second four-star healer.
Also note that leveling each character is very resource intensive. If you pull for everyone, that means you'll need to level everyone. After you unlock the final ascention you'll realise how demanding these characters are. From level 70 to 80 is 2.7 million exp. From level 1 to 70 is 3 million.
Granted, most players don't prioritize leveling up to 80 as their attention is better invested elsewhere, but everyone should get their one friend-support character and lightcone up to 80, traces to 6/8/8/8 and complete relic set at level 9.
This will make you very attractive to other players who will want to use you as a support character. Credits burn fast after 70, so each use of your support character granting 2,000 credits is very helpful in the long run. Another tip is to befriend low level players who don't get suggestions beyond their ascention cap.
