No knowledge of dnd needed, from someone who has no knowledge of dnd and having a grand time
My first pc was from a local shop as well and i had a really good experience. I wouldnt do it now that I can and have built my own but id recommend it over a prebuilt.

I try my hardest to not buy games that require an additional launcher at this point. Such a scummy practice
Me and my roomate spent a lot of time dreaming of ideas for the (at the time mythological) Payday 3 and it's DLC. This is my favorite. 50 has done game VA, and is always up to make some cash. Also my hope is Payday 3 starts grounded and I think this is a good start.
