The main tub this year weighs 600kg and features 11 different flavours - retailing at around £6.

I better hire a forklift and get myself down the shops! £6 for all that chocolate!

The easiest way to survive Kristal Nacht 2: Electric Boogaloo is to get outta there before it happens. Stockpiling some food and "hunkering down" isn't gonna keep you safe. Get outta there.

What does America offer that you can't get in Europe, Canada, Australia, etc?

Brain drain the fascist state to a standstill.

The earlier you do it, the higher your chances of being accepted into other countries. They may block American refugees if there becomes an exodus. It also means you have time to sell unnecessary items instead of possibly having to abandon them.

Good luck, whatever path you choose.

We don't fight back, though.

We trade with China.

We trade with Israel.

Until there was a full-scale invasion we traded with Russia despite 2014 - 2022.

Where there's money to be made, ethics and morals are ignored. Just because we're moderately better than them with regards to rights doesn't mean we're good. We're just not as bad.

We are aligned with America, creating another giant power block. Another country that's a cunt to people.

Human rights abuses are being documented all over Europe from Italian farms to UK detention and deportation of refugees.

The state of the world is depressing and appears to be on a downhill trajectory. There's so many parallels to the rise of the Nazi party going on in multiple countries and so many people are oblivious to it. In their echo chambers of consumerism and "I've got mine".

I think I've had enough Internet for the day

I'm so tired.

Why do we always descend into war?

Why do we have to group into 2 or 3 global power blocks repeatedly?

Why are people constantly cunts to each other?

Is there an easy way to purge a Lemmy account or do you have to edit/ delete each comment and post first?

I've had issues with deleting posts previously and just resorted to editing them to be useless instead.

And risk burning yourself when the rubber wears out in 3 years and bursts?

Nah, get yourself one of those oat-filled microwavable teddies. Does the same job but with less risk of severe burns and doesn't need replaced every few years.

Hahahaha most certainly not!

I'm not saying I don't work, I'm saying it's unnecessarily forced upon us for the enrichment of the capitalist class and not required to the extent that it is for society to function in the modern age.

A lot of business is just business for the sake of business. Pushing people to consume regardless of whether they want or need to, or not. If people truly wanted half the shit they buy the advertising and marketing industry wouldn't be so big.

If you're on benefits for whatever reason, health issues (mental or physical), bereavement, disenfranchised, whatever, our society is so rich that you should be able to eat and have somewhere warm to sleep at night without being forced to perform labour against your will.

To make matters worse, this is coming from the Labour party...

I'm not saying nobody should work. I'm not saying there's no benefit to work. I'm saying it shouldn't be forced upon us just to exist. That's just slavery with extra steps.

You're missing the forest for the trees. Read the first paragraph again

P.S. my food generally comes from my garden...

Why? Why should we all have to work just to survive? Productivity is so immensely high with computers and machines that work is not a requirement for life or society like it once was. A smaller percentage of the population can work than before for the same overall output.

Work should improve your life. You put something in, you get something out (pay). Now you can go and improve your life somehow by buying goods and/or services. But needing to work just for the bare basics of food and shelter is ridiculous in the modern age. We're a rich country, we should be able to afford to feed and home our population with ease and yet constantly in political discourse there's talk of benefits "scroungers" "stealing" money they "don't deserve", usually for pitifully small amounts of money as well.

The amber warning runs from 7am Saturday 23rd until 5pm Saturday 23rd as neither the article nor the linked Met Office tweet seemed to make that obvious anywhere

It's my belief that that's just your opinion
