Speaker Johnson explicitly said the blurring is so the DoJ isn’t “weaponized” against these people. It is precisely to prevent further prosecutions by making it harder to identify people in newly released footage, they aren’t even trying to pretend otherwise.

If there wasn’t a weird monster, backpack, or out of place alarm clock in the middle right one, that would’ve been my favorite. The alarm clock isn’t even within reach of a bed to snooze it or turn it off. The backpack makes it too cluttered. The view through the window and the colors are my favorite, however.

As-is, the bottom two are the ones I like most. I love the color of the bottom left and I like the nature of the bottom right though I am not a fan of so much orange.

Not all of us kept our Reddit accounts though.

You need parental consent to marry a minor in Alabama, perhaps the parents did not agree to the marriage. According to the article, they didn’t actually get married until after she turned 18.

It also means you no longer get any kind of medication or treatment meant to prolong your life, not even IVs for the last relative of mine who went through hospice. He pretty much just got pain pills and some vitamins for the last few months until his organs finally gave out on him.

This is an old article, but Carter did recently visit a peanut festival or parade of some sort. I was surprised someone in hospice was well enough to go out for a drive. The people I knew that entered hospice weren't well enough for that kind of outing except maybe the first week or so after they switched to hospice care from the regular prolong your life kind of treatment.

No. Mostly I turn off the notification stuff if I can, especially the little dot with the unread number. A lot of that stuff isn't worth reading.

I don't think you necessarily need to know about the IT aspect if you have enough knowledge in some of the other aspects of running the business. However, if you don't know the IT aspects, you should absolutely have a right hand person who is very familiar with the IT aspects and manages that and updates you on that side of things.

Musk has fired enough people who voiced criticism that I think he is only left with yes-men, not experts who can freely offer meaningful guidance and be taken seriously.

I do check one niche subreddit for a TV show about once every week when a new episode drops, but I hadn't used reddit at all until this season came out. I will go right back to not using it pretty soon here. I used to read reddit during the majority of my down time, but the attitude Spez had was so awful that I have no desire to return to regular use. I spend a lot of my time on discord, some on Firefish, and a little bit on Lemmy. I do more things offline now. I thought it would be difficult to replace reddit, but it hasn't been.

At one point I had every other Friday off and even having the three day weekend only every other week was really refreshing and such a nice break. I miss it, I've been hoping it becomes more common.

I remember Postal Service profitability being a political issue under the second Bush, too. Trump didn't start that. He probably even benefited from the previous rounds because he bought a historic post office in DC when it was sold off and he turned it into a hotel. That's the same hotel where people stayed during his presidency to curry favor with him.

My cousin visited Texas from Germany and took a train from Dallas to Austin. The track sharing with freight was insane, the trip took 9 hours due to freight having right-of-way on the tracks. It's only about a 3.5 hour drive. He was not impressed at all.
