the rake of the wings looks clockwise; but it looks to me like there're little jets that would make it spin anticlockwise i think

it was the soundtrack to a sitcom with simon pegg; but i had completely forgotten about it until now

i was just[^1] talking about how much i like big ships in the atmosphere, and now this is here! nice!

[^1]: (just being 15 days ago apparently, but it was in this lemmysphere)

aw man, now i have that song stuck in my head

i love this though - giant steam trains are my favourite type of train, and the light reflecting off the metal looks really nice. it kind of looks like it was inspired by the union pacific big boy

[–] Zeus@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

actually yeah i think you're right

which way did you spin it? anti-clockwise?

[–] Zeus@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago

oh this is just dripping with atmosphere, i love it

[–] Zeus@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

this is gorgeous

i love the fallout artstyle all round, and this piece in particular is great - particularly the sand swept up around the rear

i've never played h0d as the gameplay never really appealed to me, but it does have a really cool high concept

[–] Zeus@lemm.ee 0 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

tank you very much

[–] Zeus@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (5 children)

ah but the letters are sideways then...

that would irk me no end

i'm fairly certain there was a comment here saying something similar? but it seems to have been deleted?

but presuming you're talking about this shot:

a screenshot from the ending of the film "the planet of the apes", showing the statue of liberty sunken into the sand of a beach. nearby is a woman leading a horse, and a man collapsed to the ground in despair

i mean yeah, it's clearly the same. but the composition is in my opinion nicer, plus the colour palette is really nice as well

[–] Zeus@lemm.ee 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

well that's interesting to note, thank you. i will include them if i have time (although i imagine trying to do so for every post would just lead me to making fewer posts), and i will definitely put more effort into my alt text. i'm not that great a creative writer though, so i fear i wouldn't be able to capture the scene in such an illustrative way as you have

if a !TranscribersOfLemmy@rblind.com or something does get created, and you remember, i don't suppose you'd ping me? as it's something i've never actually got around to, but always supported and wanted to get into

Hello everyone!

I've finally released Eternity on the google play store. Note that this is not compatible with the existing releases as this build has a different signature.

Thanks for your support and looking forward to your feedback!

Yet another personal project that I've just finished. Really enjoyed working on this one. Definitely a fun little challenge!

gotham concept art for "The Batman", i believe

there's more concept art that fits here, although it's a lot more batmannish so i'm putting it in a

batman standing moodily on some gothic buttresses, staring at a smog-filled gotham

Heyo,

Last night I had quite clear idea for an illustration, different theme from what I usually do and I had tons of fun doing it

Artwork done almost entirely in Blender, some FX and little fellas were added in Photoshop. Whole thing took around 6h to finish it.
