i haven't enough courage of my convictions. i also don't really know why i don't like it. maybe it's because it's not just the art, there's also a guy in it? or just because it feels so commercial^?^, which is also pretty inconsistent.. i'm not sure, i'll think about it

man i wish there was a retrofuturism lemmysphere. maybe that's another thing i'll have to create eventually

this is absolutely gorgeous - i wish i could find a higher res version with all those details

then again maybe i retract my previous comment because this one feels like it does fit

i'm not entirely sure about models? i mean i know it's technically a train that doesn't exist, and i guess it's a piece of art; but it doesn't seem quite right^?^ i was all for this one because it is still a painting; even though it's a photo of a wall^?^ i'm not certain about this rule though

this is really cool - it looks like one of those old soviet designs, although the background doesn't look like soviet architecture

filter overlays reduce contrast, and wash out colours darker than the filter colour - quick mock-up:

colour tester image with normal and multiply blend mode orange overlays

(notice how dark greys and black are actually brighter than without the filter)

in answer to the original question, op, i'm not sure there is one. i don't think android allows changing display properties such as temperature without root unfortunately

thank you for reminding me of this; it's so great and i'd completely forgotten about it

i'm still subscribed to him on youtube, even though it's been 7 years

i mean, i could be jumping the gun here. you may well be right. it's not listed on his page (although he seems to have at least two, so maybe there's more). but i thought that as they claim it was for that magazine and it appeared on said magazine, it could be true

This is a challenge that I did with some friends in the discord of adapting the tale "The Masque of the Red Death" by Edgar Allan Poe. I imagined the characters as part of a cult that worships the Mask of the Red Death and performs rituals through the rooms with different colors from the abbey, each representing a different stage of life.

edit: unread inbox messages are currently unreadable - i will fix this soon

edit 2: fixed dark mode inbox, also now uses lemmy colours for votes (blue/red, as opposed to orange/blue)
