I'm a FOSS advocate, and I have the $20 Sync ad free.
It's more like one dev made the best user experience on lemmy, so people give him money. At least that's the case for me.

Sync is the only 3rd party app I have ever used that actually has fantastic material you design. I have a pixel phone and quite like material you look. I prefer all my apps support this superior look, other apps try but none get anywhere close to that amount of polish Sync has.
TLDR: Sync is fucking gorgeous and no alternatives come close to being as sexy
I used Jeroba while I was waiting for sync to come out. Personally it's really no competition, it's great that it is being worked on but Jeroba is significantly worse in every way except for being open source. Hopefully someday it will be great!

Um the Arizona plant isn't having any issues, do you have a source? The only thing I can find is TSMC signed a voluntary agreement with AZ to have more oversight on construction worker safety. That isn't a bad thing at all.
