I don't like how people continue to use pepe to signify the right, I have literally never seen someone use pepe as a right wing hate symbol or whatever the fuck and even if they do I don't give a shit, pepe did nothing wrong.

No. Anecdotically, it seems like the average population in my experience is sort of fond of image generation and I think the vast, vast majority of it is done by people who just want to make an image for themselves personally, and no they would have never paid anyone

That is a better way of putting it, but also requires someone trying to pass off the image as their own. So it wouldn't really be plagarism if you just said it was a generated image off the bat imo.
In the context of the OP I don't think it's plagiarism though since only some of the images is generated
