In the next decade we will have maybe a dozen companies or entities with mega constellations like starlink, this issue will only get worse not better. Ground based astronomy for scientific purposes seems like it's reached the end of being feasible.

¯_(ツ)_/¯people say the same thing about growing cannabis but at least with weed it's just bro science and has no scientific evidence.
Because the driver is supposed to be responsible for the vehicle, not saying this approach is right but I think fsd clearly states you need to be present and responsible for the vehicle while fsd is engaged.
So it's been allowed to go on because a human is still 'in control ' of the vehicle.
At least that's my take on the situation.
Just gotta get a reputable brand. I recently got a Popur X5 and it's been real nice.
I actually don't know what people's hesitancy is, but I've seen numerous people say proton is not good, we'll see if anybody chimes in with a reason.
Besides the cost of terminals, this problem has been solved by starlink and soon project kuiper.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , I can do every normal thing I wanna do in a GUI on Fedora
Linux phones are coming along, Posh is very promising and helping make Linux on mobile possible https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosh
I would say eve typically do have more controls on touchscreens vs buttons. Now this issue is mainly observed in Teslas more than any other car, but Teslas are the most popular ev so ya it's definitely more of a problem on evs.
Android auto is great, but it's also a horrible cluster fuck because it's up to the automakers to integrate it into their system. Sort of just like Android phones from Samsung and other third-party companies.
The automakers usually fuck it up. It works fairly great on my 2015 Mazda 3 except for if I plug my phone in while the car is in reverse or some other odd times, the head unit just gets stuck on a black screen until I restart the car. Also, the touch screen doesn't work for Android auto which is a bummer.
Glad you got it under control without the pills that made you feel bad. Happy for you
Not necessarily a "starlink trail" you took a photo of a satellite, could be starlink could be something else. Also the astrophotography mode on the pixels is purdy cool and fun to mess around with
